Little Switzerland is a picturesque village complete with charm, character, and long-range mountain views. Located off the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 334 is the renowned  Switzerland Inn resort and village, known by some as “uptown”. Just a few stop signs down the road is “downtown,” which includes an interesting general store, cafe, and art gallery featuring local artists. The Switzerland General Store has been the heart of "downtown" Little Switzerland since 1927. 

From Little Switzerland, access the Blue Ridge Parkway, “America’s Favorite Drive” and enjoy 469 miles of scenic places, historic sites, outdoor recreation, and interesting places to stop. The Museum of North Carolina Minerals is nearby at milepost 331. Discover how minerals have shaped this area and our nation – from America’s first gold rush to today’s computer industry.
